Danette's wonderful parents always encouraged her love of art and books. She grew up sketching animals at the zoo and reading with her mom at bedtime. Danette met her husband at BYU and after she received her Bachelors of Art in Communication they started their own little family where Danette continued the tradition of sketchbooks at the zoo and reading to her children. Now she is creating this book series that her grandchildren will enjoy, and she is excited that she will be able to teach them Latter-day Saint values as they follow Norman and the Mouse family.

Brittany recently graduated from Brigham Young University Idaho. She has always enjoyed drawing and writing and received several awards in high school for her abilities. The idea for the Norman series came when she was applying for writing scholarships in high school and wanted to build up her portfolio. As one of only five members of the church in a very liberal high school, adding a religious piece as part of her application was daring to say the least, but it paid off when she was awarded the District Dogwood Writing Scholarship.
